ROUGH DRAFT: Loop Implant Procedure Workflow

Patient Identification and Pre-Procedure Check

o Confirm patient’s full name and date of birth using two identifiers

o Verify and document allergies

o Verify procedure and consent form is signed and complete


Patient Preparation

o Walk patient to ACU bathroom


o Provide:

Hair cover and shoe cover

Belongings bag for clothes and personal items o Instruct patent to:

 Attach ECG leads, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter.

o Assess the insertion site for bleeding or swelling

o Accompany patient to the waiting room
