PHILIPS CVX-300 QUICK-START CHECKLIST
SET-UP
- Plug in CVX-300 and Turn Power Switch ON System will Complete Self-Test (5 minute warm up) (An audible beep will sound indicating the laser system is ready)
- Connect Foot Pedal
OPERATION
- Insert Catheter and Calibrate
- Depress the Calibrate button, aim the catheter and 1-2 inches away from the energy detector
- Depress the foot switch until the system completes calibration approximately 5 seconds) -The "Calibration Complete" or Cal OK" lamp is displayed
- Set the Fluence and Rate Per Physician's Instructions (i.e. 50/50) Select the "Ready" Mode
- Depress foot pedal per Physician's instructions until lesion(s) modification is complete.
- Select "Standby" Mode when the laser i or is removed from body.
After Treatment is Complete
REPORTING
- Record "Pulses Delivered" in log book
- Depressing the "Pulses Delivered" button enables the total number of pulses during a procedure to be visible in the display window Record "Treatment Time" in log book
- Depressing the "Treatment Time" button enables the total lasing time of the procedure to be visible in the display window
TROUBLESHOOTING
- Laser System Will Not Turn ON
- Verify power cord connections
- Verify interlock plug installed
- Verify main circuit breaker is in ON position
- Laser Buzzes When Plugged In
- Release red emergency button
- Fault Codes 1-4, "Service", "Service Laser Soon", "Power Error"
- Shut machine OFF, wait 30 seconds, then Turn ON
- Call PHILIPS Customer Service @ 800-231-0978 for assistance
SHUTDOWN/STORAGE
- Turn the Laser System OFF
- Disconnect and store the power cord
- Disconnect and store the footswitch
- Close the catheter connector door
- Clean the energy detector's face with alcohol prep
- Cover the laser system with the dust cover
