G TUBE & GJ TUBE & J TUBE PLACEMENT/EXCHANGE
- Confirm with MD size of tube needed
- If needed, peel away sheaths are 4Fr sizes up from size of G-tube
- Ex: 18Fr peel away for 14Fr G-tube, 20Fr peel away for 16Fr G-tube
- Will need sterile water to fill balloon – fill with roughly ¼ contrast and ¾ with water
- Enema cocktail – Omnipaque 300 150ml with 800ml lukewarm water
- 100% Contrast (hand injection) unless the Physician states otherwise.
- Normal Saline 0.9% 1000 ml
- Angio pack
- Turtle shell cover
- 18Fr G-tube introducer kit (comes with peel away, T-fasteners and wire)
- 14Fr G-tube
- Bag (sterile core) (Vented G Tube bag – overstock cabinet)
- Slit gauze
- Hypofix tape
- 12cc syringe (extra)
- Enfit drainage bag
- Lidocaine Jelly
