Pillow + case


Patient Identification and Pre-Procedure Check

Confirm patient’s full name, allergies, and date of birth using two identifiers

Verify consent form is signed and scanned: "Implantable rhythm monitor (implant or explant)"


Patient Preparation

Walk patient to ACU bathroom to change


Instruct patent to:

Remove everything from the waist up

Put on a hospital gown open to the front

Place personal belongings in the bag


Transfer to Procedure Room

Walk patient to the procedure room once ready

Mark in-room in Epic


Prep and monitoring

Attach MacLab ECG leads, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter.

Ensure comfort and explain each step


During Procedure

Maintain patient comfort and safety

Monitor vital signs pre & post

Document in Procedure Log


Post-procedure Care
