Laser Lead Todo List v3
The following is a non-exhaustive to-do list that should be completed ahead of any Laser Lead Extraction set to be done in Lab 14, the Hybrid OR.
- PRE-PULL LIST from lab 4 or 5 pyxis onto scrub table for transport
- EP Pack, PPM Pack, instrument tray
- Hovermat, chucks, Sheet, Irrisept, Rad Pad
- Defib adaptor piece, XL split Defib pads (Silver and White, not Silver and Yellow - P-224-T1, not P-224-Z1)
- Ground pads, EKG dots, Sp02, BP cuff, Bair Hugger
- Foley
- Gowns, Gloves
- Chlorapreps
- Raytex
- Cardiac Split Drape
- long ioban
- 96" ultrasound sleeve + gel
- 2x locking 8f
- 2 packs of RIS tubing (2 per pack)
- 2 stopcocks
- 6 medium tegaderms
- orange xtra stiff amplatzer .032
- Green package ethilon suture
- 2.0 pds, 3.0 monocryl, 4.0 monocryl
- sorbact/telfa/medium teg, elastikon for pressure dressing

- Get SCD (Machine from PACU? disposable sleeve from anesthesia tech)
- Call Anesthesia Tech and ensure TEE + appropriate probe are in lab 14, plug in display cable (displayport to DVI) from TEE to 4in1 on wall behind storage carts
- Load Staff + Physician Lead & Glasses onto scrub table for transport
- Load ACT machine, cuvettes, dry erase pen, lidocaine bottle opener onto scrub table for transport
- Pre-pull gear from EP 4 or 5 for case:
- Put Temp Pacing Box on scrub table - make sure you have a JSN, adapter cable (can be nonsterile), and a male quad cable with 2 of the 4 pins stripped (must be sterile)
- Bring VGA cable from foot of bed in lab 4 or 5 for rep programmer, plug into 4in1 equipment boom
- Check OR14 for surgicount + its pole/holster
- Check OR 14 for Anesthesia lead shield, bring Nursing lead shield with pt info
- Bring Main Laser Lead Cart and put in position
- Bring Laser and put in position, plug into port on boom across room, calibrate
- Set Anesthesia shield in place before moving Xray arm into position
- Set Xray arm in position before patient is in the room (10 deg rotation)
- Set Neptune in position
- Set Venue in position
- Set screens at foot of bed (move to patient right after groin access complete)
- Set Defib + Bovie (or plasma) on foot of bed, plug in below table, bovie to 30/30
- Xray controls + lead skirts to patient left table rail (if left sided extraction)
- Select appropriate screen setup on xray controls: anesthesia vitals + McK + xray live + xray review)
- Lookup Laser Sheath Sizes (Tightrail size = GlideLight size minus 1)
- Blood slip
- Blood into room (make sure to bring down with 2x facesheets)
- Make sure anesthesia has bags for KVO/KAO
