Biopsy schedule

Access: Right IJ unless otherwise clinically indicated

Open

  • Right Heart Pack
  • See the Physician Preferences page for procedure details for each physician
  • Preferred biopsy device
  • Swan or PA catheter

Setup

  • Scan Right IJ before prepping to ensure it is patent
  • Prep and drape
  • Flush and connect Swan to the manifold and zero
  • Cut telfa pad to ~2cm x 2cm square for myocardium samples
  • Put a small amount of saline in medicine cup for biopsy tome rinsing
