Pacemaker notes for the Cath Lab

Medications

  • Cefazolin (Kefzol, Ancef) 1gm / 2gm (weight based) 1G Vanco if PCN allergy
  • 15ml Betadine 10% into 500ml 0.9% NS pocket wash
  • Lidocaine / Bupivucaine (50/50)

  • NS to L-sided IV (for venogram)

  • Ioban
  • Blue towels (1 pack for drape)
  • Suture (See Dr. list below)
  • Fast-cath peelable sheaths (Ask rep for size)
  • Arm immobilizer
